Christ the King Sunday is when we talk about what sort of King Jesus is. Whenever we say “Christ” we’re calling Jesus King, because “Christ” (‘Messiah’ in Hebrew) means “God’s anointed king”. In the reading from John, Jesus says his kingdom isn’t from this world. But Jesus’ kingdom came to this world. And when we follow Jesus, his kingdom is in our lives.

Listen to the sermon preached by the Revd Bryce Amner on Sunday 25 November 2018.

The scripture reading is John 18:33-37.
